Close enough that treatment does not reorganise the week
Queens Park, NSW is small, and most people here already pass close to us in an ordinary week. That has a practical effect on orthodontic treatment, which lives or dies on whether short reviews every few weeks actually get kept.
The caseload divides predictably. Children come in around seven for a first look at how the jaws are developing, and most leave with a date to come back rather than a plan to start. Teenagers are usually in fixed braces, because both the alignment and the bite are still settling and trays depend on a discipline not every fifteen year old has. Adults ask about aligners and ceramic brackets, and in most cases at least one of them will do the job.
Queens Park sits in the Waverley Council area, six minutes from us through the Junction. Our approach more broadly is on the orthodontist in Sydney page.

What we treat
Braces, aligners and early treatment for Queens Park
Children start with an assessment. Teenagers usually end up in fixed braces. Adults get a genuine choice. Which of those you are is settled at the first appointment.
Clear aligners
Removable trays covering most crowding and spacing. A common choice for older teenagers and adults. Clear aligners →
Ceramic braces
Fixed, tooth coloured brackets, working as steel does while being much harder to notice. Ceramic braces →
Traditional braces
Steel brackets. For a teenager with a developing bite, frequently the right call rather than a compromise. Braces for teenagers →
Early treatment for children
A first look around seven, usually producing a review date rather than treatment. Children’s orthodontics →
Adult orthodontics
Routine work — crowding that arrived slowly, or an older result that has given ground. Adult orthodontics →
Retainers
The least interesting part of orthodontics and the most decisive. Retainers →

Questions we are asked most often
Do I need a referral?
No. Book an assessment directly.
How far is the practice from Queens Park?
Six minutes by car via York Road and Bondi Junction. We are at 135 Edgecliff Road, Woollahra 2025.
When should a child first be seen?
Around age seven, when enough adult teeth are through to show how the jaws are developing. Most first appointments end with a review date.
Why do teenagers usually get fixed braces rather than aligners?
Because both the alignment and the bite are still developing, which needs constant control, and because trays only work while they are actually in. Some teenagers manage aligners very well. It is a judgement made case by case rather than a rule.
How disruptive is treatment around school?
Less than most parents expect. After planning and fitting, reviews are short and several weeks apart, and at six minutes a visit rarely costs a whole afternoon.
What is the difference between an orthodontist and a dentist?
Three further years of full time specialist training in tooth movement and bite correction.
Can adults have treatment without it showing?
In most cases, using aligners or ceramic braces.
What will it cost?
We go through it at the assessment once the treatment is known.
