Same road
The same road, ten minutes along it
Edgecliff, NSW is about as close as our patients get without living on the same block. We are further up Edgecliff Road, between Ocean Street and the Queen Street shops, which has one consequence worth spelling out: appointments fit into a lunch break or the gap before a train.
That matters more than it sounds. Orthodontic treatment depends on regular short reviews, and the patients who finish on schedule are overwhelmingly the ones who never had to reorganise a day to attend. Edgecliff patients tend to fall into that group by default.
The work itself covers the range — adults asking about aligners or ceramic braces, teenagers in fixed appliances, children in for a first look around seven. Edgecliff sits inside the Municipality of Woollahra area, and the station and the New South Head Road bus routes both converge here. Our broader approach is on the orthodontist in Sydney page.

What we treat
Braces, clear aligners and children’s orthodontics
The full range, and no strong local skew — proximity rather than a particular treatment is what brings most Edgecliff patients here.
Clear aligners
Removable trays swapped weekly. Popular with commuters who want nothing visible at work. Clear aligners →
Ceramic braces
Fixed, tooth coloured brackets. The work of metal braces without the appearance. Ceramic braces →
Traditional braces
Steel brackets. The most versatile appliance and often the shortest route when the bite has to change. Braces →
Early treatment for children
A first look around seven, usually ending in a review date rather than braces. Early treatment for children →
Adult orthodontics
Routine. Being on the doorstep, Edgecliff patients are the ones who actually keep their reviews, which shortens treatment in practice. Adult orthodontics →
Retainers
What holds the result once the appliance comes off. Retainers →

Questions we are asked most often
Do I need a referral?
No. Book an assessment directly.
How far is the practice from Edgecliff station?
About a ten minute walk along Edgecliff Road, or four minutes by car. We are at 135 Edgecliff Road, Woollahra 2025, between Ocean Street and the Queen Street shops.
Can I come in during a work break?
Usually. Most reviews are short, and at ten minutes from the station that is practical for people working locally or passing through. Visits are typically several weeks apart.
Are clear aligners suitable for everyone?
No. They cover most crowding and spacing but only work while worn, and some bite corrections need the constant control of fixed braces.
What is the difference between an orthodontist and a dentist?
Three further years of full time specialist training in moving teeth and correcting bites.
When should a child first be seen?
Around age seven, when enough adult teeth are through to show how the jaws are developing.
Is there parking?
Metered and time limited on Edgecliff Road and the streets behind. It is tight around school pick up, and the station walk is often easier.
What will it cost?
We go through it at the assessment once the treatment is known.
