Up Anzac Parade
A mixed catchment, and two different conversations
Kingsford, NSW sends us families and it sends us adults, often students and staff connected to the university nearby, and the two want quite different things.
For children the useful step is a first look around seven, when enough adult teeth are through to show how the jaws are developing. It seldom means starting treatment. For adults the question is nearly always visibility, and there are two discreet routes: ceramic brackets, which are fixed but tooth coloured, and clear aligners, which come out entirely. Which suits depends on what the teeth have to do rather than which sounds better, and we will be straight about that rather than steer you.
Kingsford sits in the City of Randwick area, sixteen minutes up Anzac Parade from us. Because the trip is longer, we set out the likely appointment schedule at the first visit so you can weigh it properly. Our approach more broadly is on the orthodontist in Sydney page.
Every suburb we work across is listed on our areas we service page.

What we treat
Ceramic braces, aligners and children’s orthodontics
For a child this starts with an assessment. For an adult it is a choice between two discreet appliances, settled by what has to move.
Clear aligners
Removable trays. A frequent choice among students and staff who want treatment that does not show. Clear aligners and Invisalign →
Ceramic braces
Fixed, tooth coloured brackets, and the most searched treatment from this postcode. Ceramic braces →
Traditional braces
Steel brackets. The most versatile appliance and often the shortest route. Traditional braces →
Early treatment for children
A first look around seven, usually producing a review date rather than treatment. Early treatment for children →
Adult orthodontics
Routine, and discretion is nearly always the opening question. Adult orthodontics →
Retainers
What holds the result once the appliance comes off. Retainers →

Questions we are asked most often
Do I need a referral?
No. Book directly. Many Kingsford patients keep a general dentist locally and see us only for orthodontics.
How far is the practice from Kingsford?
Sixteen minutes by car up Anzac Parade through Bondi Junction. We are at 135 Edgecliff Road, Woollahra 2025.
Ceramic braces or clear aligners?
Aligners are usually less noticeable because they are removable and close to invisible. Ceramic braces are fixed but tooth coloured, and they manage corrections aligners sometimes cannot. Aligners also depend on being worn most of the day.
When should a child first be seen?
Around age seven, when enough adult teeth are through to show how the jaws are developing.
How many appointments will treatment involve?
After planning and fitting, reviews are short and typically several weeks apart. Given the distance, we set out a realistic schedule at the first visit so the travel is a known quantity.
Are you a general dentist as well?
No. We are a specialist orthodontic practice, so we handle tooth movement and bite correction rather than check ups and fillings. Most patients keep a general dentist closer to home.
How long does treatment run?
A few months to about two years, depending on what is being corrected.
What will it cost?
We go through it at the assessment once the treatment is known.
