Ten minutes east
On the way to most places you already go
Centennial Park, NSW sits between Paddington, Randwick and the Junction, which means most people here pass within a few minutes of us in the course of an ordinary week. For treatment that depends on short reviews every few weeks, that is worth more than it sounds.
What brings people in divides by age rather than by suburb. For children the useful question is whether the jaws and adult teeth are developing in a way that will need guiding, and around seven is when that becomes visible. For adults it is generally crowding of the lower front teeth, or a bite that has never quite felt right and has finally become annoying enough to act on.
Aligners and ceramic brackets have made adult treatment considerably less conspicuous than it once was, which is why a fair share of the people we see are well past their teens. Centennial Park sits in the City of Randwick area. More on our approach as an orthodontist in Sydney.

What we treat
Braces, aligners and children’s orthodontics
A first look for a child, or a choice between fixed and removable for an adult. The first appointment establishes which conversation you are having.
Clear aligners
Removable trays covering most crowding and spacing, out for meals and events. Clear aligners →
Ceramic braces
Fixed, tooth coloured brackets, for cases needing more control than trays can give. Ceramic braces →
Traditional braces
Steel brackets. The most versatile appliance and often the shortest route when the bite has to change. Traditional braces →
Early treatment for children
A first look around seven, usually ending in a review date rather than treatment. Children’s orthodontics →
Adult orthodontics
Routine — generally crowding of the lower front teeth, or a bite that has never felt right. Adult orthodontics →
Retainers
What holds the result, and why it is still there years later. Retainers →

Questions we are asked most often
Do I need a referral?
No. Book an assessment directly.
How far is the practice from Centennial Park?
Ten minutes by car via Oxford Street and Ocean Street. We are at 135 Edgecliff Road, Woollahra 2025, with Bondi Junction and Edgecliff both nearby.
Are clear aligners suitable for everyone?
No. They cover most crowding and spacing but only work while worn, and some bite corrections need the constant control of fixed braces.
When should a child first be seen?
Around age seven, when enough adult teeth are through to show how the jaws are developing. Most first appointments end with a review date.
What is the difference between an orthodontist and a dentist?
Three further years of full time specialist training in tooth movement and bite correction.
Can adults have treatment without it showing?
In most cases, using aligners or ceramic braces with tooth coloured brackets.
How often would I come in?
Short reviews, usually several weeks apart, and rarely requiring a special trip from here.
What will it cost?
We go through it at the assessment once the treatment is known.
