The question is nearly always about visibility
Patients from Point Piper, NSW tend to open the same way: can this be done without anyone noticing. For most cases the answer is yes, and there are two routes to it.
Clear aligners are removable and close to invisible, and they cover a wide range of crowding and spacing. Ceramic braces are fixed but tooth coloured, and they manage the corrections aligners cannot reach. What decides between them is what the teeth actually have to do, not which sounds more appealing — and if the discreet option will not deliver the result you are describing, that is something to hear at the first appointment rather than midway through.
Point Piper sits inside the Municipality of Woollahra area, seven minutes along New South Head Road. Reviews are short and weeks apart, so the treatment sits inside an ordinary week rather than interrupting it. Our approach generally is on the orthodontist in Sydney page.
Everywhere else we cover is set out on our areas we service page.

What we treat
Clear aligners and ceramic braces near Point Piper
A short list, and an honest one. Both options here are discreet; the difference is what they can move and how much depends on you.
Clear aligners
Removable, close to invisible trays. Where the conversation starts locally, and often where it finishes. Clear aligners and Invisalign →
Ceramic braces
Fixed, tooth coloured brackets, for cases needing more control than trays can give. Ceramic braces →
Traditional braces
Steel brackets. Less discreet, occasionally much faster — we will tell you if that trade is worth it. Traditional braces →
Early treatment for children
A first look around seven, usually ending in a review date rather than treatment. Early treatment for children →
Adult orthodontics
Almost all our Point Piper patients, and most have been considering it for some time. Adult orthodontics →
Retainers
Unglamorous, and the single biggest factor in whether the result holds. Retainers →

Questions we are asked most often
Do I need a referral?
No. Book an assessment directly.
How far is the practice from Point Piper?
Seven minutes by car along New South Head Road. We are at 135 Edgecliff Road, Woollahra 2025, with Edgecliff station close by.
Which option is genuinely least visible?
Clear aligners, because they are removable and close to invisible. Ceramic braces are next — fixed but tooth coloured. Which is right depends on what the teeth have to do, and we will say plainly if the least visible route is not the right one.
Are clear aligners suitable for everyone?
No. They cover most crowding and spacing but depend on being worn most of the day, and some bite corrections need the constant control fixed braces provide.
What is the difference between an orthodontist and a dentist?
Three further years of full time specialist training in moving teeth and correcting bites.
Can adults still have treatment?
Yes. Teeth move throughout life. Age changes which appliance suits and how existing dental work is accounted for, not whether treatment works.
How often would I come in?
Short reviews, usually several weeks apart. At seven minutes the travel is a minor part of it.
What will it cost?
We go through it at the assessment once the treatment is known.
