Paediatric Dentistry
Paediatric Dentistry is an age specific dental practice who treats infants, children, adolescent patients and children with special needs. The environment has been carefully designed and created to introduce your children to dentistry in a relaxed and comfortable way.
Paediatric Dentistry is a specialist field; when your child needs special medical attention you are referred to a paediatrician and the same is true with dentistry.
Paediatric dentistry is what we practice but your child’s welfare is our top priority. Our experience working with children means that we may be able to identify other areas of your child’s health that require attention and organise referrals to medical and allied health specialists to address the needs of your child.
We have a multi-disciplinary approach to dental care by providing in-house referrals to Orthodontists, combined general anaesthesia lists with Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgeons (OMFS) and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialists. It is your best choice to cover most of your children dental needs under the same roof.
What to Expect on Your First Visit
On your first visit to us, we will rarely carry out treatment unless is absolutely necessary. Every child is different! Your child may have come to us with a complex dental problem or possibly, with some negative experiences. With this in mind, this consultation will provide parents and patients with information about their dental assessment plus a thorough assessment of your child’s individual needs. Any questions you have can be raised at this first visit and our team will gladly provide any information you need.
